29th International Symposium on Rarefied Gas Dynamics
July 13 - 18, 2014, Xi'an, China

General guidelines

The 29th International Symposium on rarefied Gas Dynamics (RGD) will be held on 13-18 July, 2014 in Xi’an, China.

The Symposium is organized by the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics.

Since the first Symposium in 1958, when Harold Grad was one of the lecturers, the RGD Symposium has consistently attracted important papers from technical leaders in the field. These have included Nobelists John Fenn and Ilya Prigogine. Other distinguished lecturers include Lloyd Thomas, Graeme Bird, E. P. Muntz, J. P. Toennies, Y. L. Klimontovich, Carlo Cercignani, Berni Alder, A. V. Bobylev, and many more.

This symposium is inviting the scientific community to gather and submit papers. Once presented orally or as posters, those papers will be reviewed and edited in the AIP series of proceedings and included in ISI Web of Science. This will be done under the supervision of a scientific committee composed of highly reputed experts and of an associated Board of Honor who keeps the memory of our science.
